Lowther Cottage

This Grade II listed cottage was built shortly after the end of the English Civil War. Centrally located, it sits prominently just above the road in the heart of Troutbeck Bridge. With walks to Troutbeck and the Kirkstone Pass from the door, and space for cleaning dirty boots and paws, this is an ideal location for dogs, as Katie and Merlin agree!

The Mardale Inn @ St Patrick's Well is a cosy Lake District inn dating from the early 18th century.  Refurbished in 2007 by the new owners, the Inn is tucked away in the pleasant little village of Bampton near Haweswater, about 6 miles from Penrith. The Old Barn

Situated at Woodhow Farm just five minutes walk from Wastwater Lake, the Old Barn is an ideal cottage to take your dog on holiday with you. There are hundreds of walks right from the front door – you can either go along the valley floor or up Scafell, Great Gable and all the other Wasdale fells.

The cottage itself has two bedrooms – one double and one set of bunks. The living accommodation is open plan, comfortable and has a wood burning stove.

There are two pubs within a mile of the cottage.

Highbridge Cottage

Highbridge Cottages are two ETC 4-star self-catering cottages located right by the stream in Braithwaite, a lovely village with three pubs and two shops, and a walker's paradise in the northern Lake District. You can if you wish forget your car for a whole week.  The cottages sleep either 5 or  6; one has an open coal or log fire, the other has great views from an upstairs main room.  Most of our guests bring dogs, and it's not surprising - they love it, and so do their owners!
