Situated at Woodhow Farm just five minutes walk from Wastwater Lake,
the Old Barn is an ideal cottage to take your dog on holiday with
you. There are hundreds of walks right from the front door – you can
either go along the valley floor or up Scafell, Great Gable and all
the other Wasdale fells.
The cottage itself has two bedrooms – one double and one set of
bunks. The living accommodation is open plan, comfortable and has a
wood burning stove.
There are two pubs within a mile of the cottage.

Cottages are two ETC 4-star self-catering cottages located right by
the stream in Braithwaite, a lovely village with three pubs and two
shops, and a walker's paradise in the northern Lake District. You
can if you wish forget your car for a whole week. The cottages
sleep either 5 or 6; one has an open coal or log fire, the other
has great views from an upstairs main room. Most of our guests
bring dogs, and it's not surprising - they love it, and so do their
owners!
