The Exmoor Forest is a wonderful place to experience horse riding with over 400 miles of bridleways. If you enjoy walking, then try out just some of the 600 miles of right-of-way - take the South West Coastal Path, walk across wild moorlands or the wooded valleys that are available. Finish the day off with your feet up in one of the many dog friendly pubs that the area has to offer.
There are many towns and villages within the Exmoor National Park area for you to explore. Dunster Castle has it's own dog mile walk, which your hound is sure to love; Combe Martin at the far west edge of the Moor, with it's great beaches and rock pools; Lynton and Lynmouth which are famous for their dramatic cliffs and to save you a walk, try the cliff railway to see the spectacular views; Tarr Steps with it's beautiful circular walk or try the Wheddon Cross area, you are certain to find a little tea shop tucked away.
