Tinkers Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom, 19th century, stone and
slate barn conversion, filled with modern home-from-home comforts
for a stylish self-catering holiday.
Located near the village
shop and local pub in Bigbury with a communal paddock for energetic
ball games, and a reserved parking space, this terraced cottage
offers a high level of comfort in a get-away-from-it-all setting.
Dogs are very welcome and stay free, with several good walks
starting from the public foot path across the road from the cottage
which is also 1½ miles from the award winning sandy beach at
Bigbury-on-Sea.
The centrally heated cottage has a modern,
well equipped kitchen with microwave, washer/drier, dishwasher and
full size fridge-freezer. The lounge/diner has two comfortable sofas
and TV with DVD (DVD’s supplied) and video. The dining table seats 6
people. There is a selection of books and a broadband internet
connection to keep you entertained.
The upstairs bathroom has
a power shower over the bath. The master bedroom has a 5' double
bed, while the twin-bedded room has two extra pull-out beds.
Electricity, heating, bed linen, duvets and bath towels are
included in the cost of your holiday, but please bring your own
beach towels.

Little Moon Cottage and Sunbeam Cottage are bright and sunny holiday
cottages in a beautiful rural location. Set on a leafy lane at the
foot of Tennyson Down in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with
wonderful views, the cottages are pet friendly and excellent for
walking with lovely beaches and a dog friendly pub with good food
close by.
The cottages are cosy and comfortable and each sleeps four in
two bedrooms. Each has a garden with a patio and picnic bench and
sweeping views of Tennyson Down. The gardens are fully enclosed to
a height of 3ft (1m). Each cottage has off-road parking for one car.
Little Moon Cottage and Sunbeam Cottage are close to the Coastal
Footpath. You can walk along the Down to Alum Bay, the Needles,
Freshwater Bay and from there to a network of trails covering the
whole Island.
The cottages are also a convenient base for visiting Island
attractions such as Blackgang Chine, Osborne House or Carisbrooke
Castle.

straight out onto the Northern Fells. We have easy access to
Ullswater and Keswick by car as well as the historic city of
Carlisle, the stunning Eden Valley and the Solway Coast Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The Old Shop

garden.
The cottage is bright and spacious having been
completely refurbished to ensure your comfort. A distinctive feature
is the two staircases, one serving the original cottage and the
second serving the rear extension. Please note there is no direct
access between the two upstairs bedrooms, one of which has an
adjacent shower-room/wc and the other its own bathroom. A
third bedroom is situated down-stairs with a shower-room/wc close
by. All bedrooms have TV with Free-view and beds fitted with
electric blankets. The dine-in kitchen is equipped to a high
standard and the large lounge is fully furnished with comfortable
sofas and chairs together with Free-view television. Wi-Fi access,
heating and electricity costs and luxury bed-linen and towels are
all included in the price.
